The Wedding Ghost: Chalk Thoughts
Here is a collection of pictures from our chalk drawing session thinking about who might be at the wedding in the story and designing an alternative front cover for the book.
It's a shame that it rained that evening and your work disappeared but thankfully pictures were taken....enjoy! Mrs Barritt

There will be an article all about it coming out shortly in First News! - WATCH THIS SPACE!
Pentominoes a go go!
Your homework this week Year 6 is to design your own pentomino puzzle. Pick 2 or 3 pentomino shapes that will fit together well and design a puzzle. Cut it out and ask a family member to re-assemble it.
A pentomino is a 5 squared shape, building on your maths learning earlier today.
Bring the pentomino puzzles back in to get a friend to try it out and assess and then to stick in your maths books.
If you are super keen then there is a fabulous pentomino game, click on the link below to play.
Have a super weekend,
Mrs Barritt :o)

Wall wisher - Note taking
I would like each of you to help build a character profile of Isambard Kingdom Brunel. What was he really like, why was he so famous, how did he change the world of engineering, would he be a good friend?
Add a sticky with your notes on and help build a really detailed character profile for Brunel. If you have a fabulous source of information that is relevant, add the link too.

KWL - Bridges and their Ingenious Engineers
Hi Year 6,
For your home learning this weekend, can you add your own thoughts and ideas to primary pad about the topic of Bridges & Brunel building on your ideas that you came up with this afternoon. You could also put some notes down on the KWL print out given to you in class. Your choice.
Can you recommend any websites that will help you learn and find out more about Bridges and their Ingenious Engineers?
Remember: K = What I Know!
W = What I want to know!
To identify which part of the KWL grid you are posting on, please put a K or a W at the start of your entry and don't forget to put your name in brackets so that I know who you are!
Have a great weekend, you have worked really hard this week.
Click here to go to primary pad!
See you on Monday!
Mrs Barritt
PS You can put down as many K's and W's as you like, go mad!
